**Details:**

The Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or nurse Manager in Behavioral Health settings.

Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of the patients.  Knowledge of crisis interventions, mental health diagnosis, and therapeutic relationships processes a must.

**Education/Skill Requirements**

Bachelors Degree preferred with one year experience.

Associates or 12 college credits and at least two years experience.

Ability to clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing

Demonstrate possession of respect for human dignity and concern for others

Completes and maintains all credentialing requirements of Quality Care Options.
